cig plug says can't find battery
CTEK Comfort Connect Cig Plug
I bought a MXS5.0 charger with comfort connect cig plug for use with my son's 2015 mustang. When I plug in it says can't find battery. There are two "holes" that might br cig lighter or power source. One is in dash another is in console, The ford book doesn't mention them at all. When I used the alligator clips on battery it did charge (go thru to step 7 gree light. I called the ford ealer who said cig lighter stay active when car shut off. Any thoughts? Thanks for your help.

If the charger is not making a connection through the cig port in the vehicle then it is indeed shut down when the car is not running. If you tried both of the cig ports - both the dash and the console? Normally if your vehicle has more than a single cig port then one of them is guaranteed to remain hot while the vehicle is off.
