If your issue is dimming lights then adding a secondary battery will certainly help. The XS Power D1200 unit will support up to a 3000 watt system without an issue however you may still experience dimming lights if you crank up the volume high enough. If you want to eliminate the light dimming issue (voltage drop) all together then I would recommend taking a look at the SB500-34 super cap.
