Solid green light comes on for a few secs followed by solid red light for a few secs. What does this mean?

Model 021-0123. This is when attached to battery. Can I leave it plugged in and attached to battery for 2 months while I'm away?

If both indicator lights are alternating then that indicates that there are poor electrical contact or that the battery may be defective. I suggest connecting the positive and negative charger clamps directly to the terminals of the battery. If you have corrosion on the terminals of the battery either try to grind the charger clips into the post by applying pressure to them and turn back and forth or clean the terminals with water and backing soda.
