Yes, after the acid has been added to the battery you then need to charge it. This is a 9AH battery, so on a 2 amp trickle charger it would take about 4 to 5 hours to fully charge it. For a battery this size we recommend using a lower amperage charger - a unit at or under 2 amps is preferred.
