Yes, the CTEK MXS 5.0 unit is a battery charger and trickle charger. Once the MXS 5.0 has fully charged your automotive battery it will then automatically go into a float mode to monitor the charge status of the battery. Once the battery dips below fully charged then the charger will re-engage at a trickle charge rate to bring the battery back up to fully charged.
