I would like to understand if there are any risks of using the HR3500 as a 2nd battery under the hood of Diesel Toyota land cruiser?

There would be no risks with doing this, you would most likely lower the overall lifespan of the battery due to the charging environment. These batteries perform best in temperature controlled a voltage regulated environments - think Data centers with environmental automated environmental controls.
