For this smaller automotive battery we do recommend a lower rate of charge than the 6 amp output of the RS1 unit. You can use it in a pinch if the battery is dead however it could shorten the life span of the battery due to the high amperage output over time. If you're in the market for a mountable maintainer for your jeep I recommend taking a look at the NOCO GENIUS2D unit.
