If the charger continues to show a green light even if you know that the batteries are discharged then your looking at a battery voltage problem. If the battery voltage is to low on the pack then the charger will not recognize that its connected and that they need to be charged - the voltage of the battery pack is below the turn on voltage threshold for the charger. In this case a new set of batteries will be the fix.
