The performance difference between the two batteries comes down the to CCA rating. Both the Deka ETX30L and the Leoch MX30 series are AGM batteries and dimensionally the same with the same terminal polarity. The Deka ETX30L is a domestic product out of PA rated at 400 CCA while the Leoch is made out of Vietnam with a 440 CCA rating. Both of these batteries are solid products with a great track record of lifespan and performance, the deciding factor comes down to personal preference on where the battery is manufactured and the ideal CCA for your bike. The ETX30L's 400 CCA rating will be just what your bike calls for however the 440 CCA will give your bike 10% extra starting power at lower price point.
