Yes, the 73210-9993 toy will require a pair of batteries. You would need to get this charger and a pair of Power Wheels 6V Red Batteries. Unfortunately they no longer make the double charger style so you would be limited to charging one battery at a time or doubling up on the charger to charge two at a time. Another thing I wanted to note for you is to check the plug style shown on the new Red 6V Battery to see if it matches up with your current plug style. If you have a white plug in the toy then unfortunately that unit is under recall and this new battery and charger kit will not work.
