Hello Mario, the clicking sound could be a malfunctioning relay within the unit constantly re-setting itself without actually needing to be. Most if not all APC unit will actually have a continuously beep sound when its time to replace the battery - not a clicking sound. I can't guarantee that replacing the battery inside of the unit will fix this issue.
