as you look at rhe posts from the side of battery what side is the positive on?

You can see the positive in the picture of the battery itself. If the terminals were facing the closest to your chest, the positive will be on the left-hand side. In the picture, the positive will have a red base to it, which you can clearly see from the product photo.
