My Deka ext battery is,nt holding a charge 1 yr old

Checked terminal wires & bike ground & pos they are crlean & tight a yr old expensive battery

You can start troubleshooting using a voltage meter. You need to understand where the battery is sitting in terms of its charge level in order to determine what's going on with it. If the battery is sitting below 12.7 volts, that means that it's in a discharge state in which you would need to charge it. Once it's charged, you can go ahead and attempt to start the bike. If everything starts up, then you can proceed as is with the one-year-old battery. If, however, the battery does not take a charge, then it could be a potential defect with the battery itself.
