You can use this as a trickle charger for a marine battery, but I don't recommend it as the dedicated charger. It's only one amp. So if you were to try to charge a discharged marine battery, it would take well over a day to bring that battery back.
To recap, if you're looking for a battery maintainer in the off-season, the GENIUS1 would be more than adequate for you. If you're looking for an actual battery charger, I'd recommend the NOCO GENIUS5 or GENIUS10 model.
