If I had to guess, what originally came with the toy was two green 6V batteries, in which case they have been discontinued and replaced by the red 6V series batteries from Power Wheels. There are a couple of caveats to this:
It is a bit of a hassle, but it can be done.
- That plug style, if it's a white plug, has been retired. It's been switched out with a newer black style plug that you're going to see in that picture of the 6V Power Wheels battery.
- Unfortunately, the adapters are no longer available for these units, so to make this switch you would have to pick up an old plug style from a place like eBay and retrofit your Power Wheels toy with a new plug.
It is a bit of a hassle, but it can be done.
